Story

Once bought as a classroom pet, now forgotten in a rusted cage pushed into the corner of a garage. He runs endlessly on a squeaky wheel, as if effort alone might open the door. His tiny nose twitches whenever someone passes, begging for crumbs of attention that never come.

Spins his wheel until exhaustion, chews the bars until his teeth ache, and stores food he’s too anxious to eat.
